'Try the Konig-Ludwig Hell- Bloody nice beer!'
This bar is a good little rock bar (Paule's Metal Eck is better). The staff are great, prices good and they show live sport. Oh, the pub is also opposite to a burger takeaway converted from an old public toilet - which is very busy all day.
The pub is also a short walk from the Bi Nuu - A fantastic music venue.
Open: 12pm-'Whenever' (Actual quote from staff) about 3/4am
The best rock bar in town!
Paule's is a great pub to try, in the middle of Friedrichshain - Great music, great staff, great beer! Including (One for the Geordies) Newcastle Brown (in bottles). You can come in and talk to anyone, making new friends!
There's loads of games too! Table football, power punch machine, pool table as well as arcade games. They sometimes have live bands on too!
Come down and have a good night!
The Blue Posts (Just like the Bricklayers) is another decent traditional pub. The Blue Posts is not hard to find, just off Oxford Street with a letter box outside.
It's another Sam Smiths, so it's cheap, own drinks (no Brands), great crowd and staff. Again, this place gets packed on a Friday (Friday nights are great). They serve food, have bars on two floors and a dartboard.
Cards accepted.
Open Mon-Sat: 12pm-11pm; Sun: Closed

The Bricklayers Arms is sat-off from the main road, so do remember to look out for it. This is a great little pub serving across two floors.
This is a Sam Smiths pub, which means the prices are very affordable but they do not stock any branded drinks - just Sam Smiths own. They serve food and also have a dartboard in the back room. The staff are pleasant, friendly and willing to help with queries you have e.g. directions.
Definitely worth a try. Friday nights get quite busy but if you are after a tradition, old-fashioned British pub look no further than Sam Smiths pubs - in particular The Bricklayers, Blue Posts and the Fitzroy.
Cards accepted.
Open Mon-Sat: 12pm-11pm; Sun: Closed

The Court is a typical Sizzling pub, just a 10 minute walk from Euston station. The pub had a refurb in 2018 (Like most Sizzling pubs) and the place looks great now.
They show live sport and the staff are friendly and pleasant. The draught beer has been reduced over the last two years with Heineken and Carlsberg being dropped (Available in bottles though). The food is great and you can eat up stairs or down. The prices are similar to other pubs in the chain, with pints around £4.30 and the food prices are the same as the other pubs. Free WiFi available.
Nice to go there for a meal before a night out or before you get the train from Euston.
Open: Mon-Wed 9am-12am; Thurs-Sat 9am-1am; Sun 9am-12am

If you're into rock/heavy metal then The Crobar SHOULD be your destination on a Friday night - Just a 5 minute walk from Oxford Street/Tottenham Court Road tube! This bar gets packed and has a great jukebox selection (Could do with some more songs). It's narrow at the bar but once you get into the back room, you've get some breathing space.
The have some live music on occasionally, which is not a bad thing!
Downside is that the bar only opens from 4pm but stays open until 3am. There is no draught beers (Except soft drinks) and you have to pay £10 or more to use your card. Great bar and one for any metal fan! This is a proper rock bar!
Connect with them on Facebook!
Open Mon-Sat: 4pm-3am

Advice: When you walk out after a few too many, watch the step!

The Fitzroy is in the heart of Fitzrovia and has recently had refurb (2017). This unique pub is another great Sam Smiths pub - split into four ground floor rooms as well as an upstairs - with the toilets in the cellar.
Just like the Bricklayers and Blue Posts, the Fitzroy serves food and only stocks Sam Smiths drinks - keeping the prices low. There is no dartboard but thee staff are friendly and pleasant - a great pub to start the night off with!
Cards accepted.

The Flying Horse, in the centre of London, is not just a bloody great pub but also accommodation.
Friday lunchtime is busy (Along with most weekday lunchtimes) with the office workers having a pub lunch. The pub does lunch time menus and main meals - surprisingly at reasonable prices. The beer prices are average prices (£4.70 for a pint of Fosters). The staff are great and fun AND the place has LIVE music on a Friday night.
The pub has free WiFi, a dartboard and show live sport. Cards are accepted.
The hostel has a 24 hour reception and if you book direct (Link below) with them you get breakfast included.
Open: Mon to Sat 10.30am-12am; Sun 12pm-10pm

The Willow Walk is a typical Wetherspoons, next door to the Apollo theatre opposite Victoria station. The prices are good, free Wi-Fi and good food.
The staff are pleasant and have a personality, not the usual robots you get in Wetherspoons.
